Ronnie Smith Retires from Farmers RECC Board of Directors

Mr. Ronnie Smith retired from the Farmers RECC board in December after 17 years of service representing District III. During his tenure, Mr. Smith has offered steadfast leadership and unwavering dedication to the mission of Farmers RECC. 

During his 17 years of service, he was an integral part of the Cooperative program. His steady and insightful leadership, and his consistent support of the staff and employees of the cooperative, have left a meaningful and lasting impact on our organization and the members it serves.

"I personally appreciate the interest and dedication he has put forth on our board to represent our members and help assure the best service possible." 

Mr. Smith's service on the Board of Directors included 2 terms as the Farmers RECC Representative on the Kentucky Electric Cooperatives Board of Directors. He also served as the Chairman of the Farmers RECC Bord of Directors from 2018-2020 and again in 2022-2023. During his tenure, Smith also served as the Secretary/Treasurer and the Vice Chairman of the Farmers RECC Board.

Committed to strengthening his leadership and deepening his understanding of cooperative governance, Mr. Smith has obtained his Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) Certification and his Board Leadership Certification (BLC) from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
