Honored to Join Your Cooperative

When I began as president and CEO of Farmers RECC on January 9, I joined an organization focused on delivering reliable, affordable electricity and improving the quality of life for our members and the communities we serve.

I feel privileged to have joined a cooperative who employs a team of highly qualified individuals working together for the benefit of our members.

I understand the importance of this organization and the role it has played in our communities for the last 85 years. After 15 years in the electric utility industry, I am also acutely aware of the importance of electricity in your daily life.

Farmers RECC members have seen so many improvements in the last decade.

The board of directors and staff have focused on providing reliable, affordable energy for members. The organization has invested millions of dollars in time and resources toward improving reliability.

Farmers RECC also enjoys a stellar safety record, recently achieving 300,000 man-hours with no lost-time accidents. In addition, legacy programs like levelized billing, Pay-As-You-Go and energy evaluations help our members manage their energy dollars wisely. Improvements to the Farmers RECC mobile app and Member Portal allow
you to conduct business with us in a way that is convenient, including reporting outages, paying your bill and more.

Farmers RECC has also focused on improving the quality of life for our members and communities. Zero-interest loans from the USDA were made available through Farmers RECC to the city of Glasgow for the Landfill Gas to Energy Plant, as well as to the TJ Community Mission Foundation, to aid in construction of the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home.

Farmers RECC continues to support our community through the Farmers RECC Scholarship and Washington Youth Tour, as well as through corporate donations to local backpack programs and organizations helping with food insecurity in our area.

We are also proud to support organizations like the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentucky, Honor Flight and Special Olympics, as well as local events like Groove and Glow.

I look forward to meeting many of you at our annual meeting on July 11 at the Cave City Convention Center and during other community events and functions.

My wife, Jennifer, and I look forward to making this community our home. We will see you soon!
