Since 1938, Farmers RECC has strived to give back to the communities it serves as a demonstration of the cooperative principle, "Concern for Community".
Each year, Farmers RECC awards eight $1,000 scholarships to assist in financing higher education for students whose families, or themselves, are cooperative members. These scholarships may be used for tuition, fees, campus housing textbooks and other educational supplies related to the recipient's academic pursuits.
This year's Farmers RECC scholarship recipients are:
- Addison Davis, daughter of Will and Erica Davis of Hardyville
- Anderson Slinker, daughter of Todd and Leea Martin Slinker of Horse Cave
- Aubrey Glass, daughter of Russ and Summer Glass of Edmonton
- Cameron Crawford, son of Jeff and Christy Crawford of Glasgow
- Kairi Frazier, daughter of Jimmy and Christine Frazier of Glasgow
- Mattie Gardner, daughter of Bill and Marla Gardner of Munfordville
- Olivia Woodcock, daughter of Deloris Flowers of Glasgow
- Shannon-Kate Matthews, daughter of Rhonda Downard of Clarkson
By investing in the future of local students, Farmers RECC aims to not only support individual members, but also strengthen the communities it serves.
Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, creed, religion, gender, disability, or national origin.
