Outage numbers have been reduced to fewer than 600 members without service. We know how frustrating it is to be without power, and we share that frustration. Please know that we will not stop working until every member is restored.
While this progress is encouraging, restoration remains slow due to extensive damage and hazardous conditions, including downed trees, damaged power lines, and broken poles.
Members should be prepared for full power restoration to extend through Thursday.
We are currently in the most time-consuming phase of storm recovery. Although the number of members without power has decreased, we are still addressing approximately 90 separate outage locations. At this stage, crews may work for hours on an outage that restores service to only a few members.
We have heard from members who are concerned because they haven’t seen crews working in their area. Due to the way the power grid is constructed, crews may be working several miles away on an issue that ultimately restores your power. At this time, we have 31 crews, more than 70 individuals, working across our entire service territory.
We also want to reassure members who feel they may have been forgotten. You have not. All hands are on deck, and crews are working around the clock until service is fully restored.
We ask neighbors to continue looking out for one another, especially those who are elderly or medically vulnerable. With these extreme temperatures, the safety of our members and employees remains our top priority.
We will be moving to twice-daily updates, with the next update scheduled for this evening by 5:00 p.m.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. We remain committed to restoring power to all members as quickly and safely as possible.
