5PM Farmers RECC Outage Update

Crews continued to work diligently today, reducing outage numbers to approximately 120 members without service. We are getting close to complete power restoration, and we know these final members are anxious to have their power resorted.

As a reminder, this stage of the restoration process can be slow due to the nature of the member per outage ratio, which is approximately only 3 members per outage. At this stage, crews may work hours on an outage that restores service to only a few members.

As restoration nears completion and members start to look more toward repair work, remember that if you need a repair and electrical inspection, you will need to contact your county electrical inspector to complete that work. Their contact information can be found on our website at New Home Construction | Farmers RECC

We have heard from members who are concerned because they haven’t seen crews working in their area. Due to the way the power grid is constructed, crews may be working several miles away on an issue that ultimately restores your power. At this time, we have 31 crews, more than 70 individuals, working across our entire service territory.

Barring any major complications, we expect to have all power restored to our members who can receive service by tomorrow evening.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. We remain committed to restoring power to all members as quickly and safely as possible.

We will provide another update tomorrow morning by 9AM.
