Farmers RECC Insulation Program
One of the biggest energy thieves in your home is inadequate insulation, and it affects the amount of your heating and cooling bills in both winter and summer. Many homes have only a single batt or layer of insulation in the attic. Oftentimes, that same home has absolutely no insulation under the floor in the crawlspace. The result is, of course, wasted energy, higher bills, and lower comfort levels.
Many people have been hearing about the benefits of adding insulation in the attic and under the floor for years, but thought that it was too expensive. Perhaps some people thought it was a good idea, just never got around to doing it.
Now that has changed! Farmers RECC offers a program that makes insulation more affordable and easier to install.
Farmers RECC's Button-Up Program will pay you the homeowner to add insulation in your home to reduce winter heat loss and summer heat gain levels for your home. That's right! Your electric cooperative will pay you up to $200 to increase the amount of insulation in your home.
If your home doesn't qualify for Farmers RECC's Button-Up Program incentive payment, you can still take advantage of our free energy analysis.
Farmers RECC doesn't install the insulation for you, but there are various contractors you can hire to install the insulation in your home.
Sorry, but this program applies only to members of Farmers Rural Electric Cooperative.
If you're interested in this program, contact Farmers RECC's energy advisor, through e-mail or phone. He will visit your home, conduct an energy audit, and calculate the heat gain/heat loss for your home.
Then he will recommend the levels of insulation that you need and figure the exact amount of the Button-Up incentive payment or allowance that you qualify for up to a maximum of $200.
