Farmers RECC provides six $1,000 scholarships to students in its service area every year.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and financial need. They are one-time, non-renewable grants and are paid directly to the student’s chosen university, college or trade school.

Recipients will be chosen by May 1. Winners also will be recognized at Farmers RECC’s annual meeting in July.

Eligibility

1. Eligible applicants are graduating high school seniors with plans to attend an accredited college, university or trade school and are living with a parent or guardian who is a Farmers RECC member. Members of the immediate families of employees, directors are ineligible to apply.
2. Eligible applicants have a GPA of at least 3.0.
3. Applications must be submitted with all attachments and postmarked by Friday March 16, 2012. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Requirements

1. Completed application form.
2. Guidance counselor written recommendation, English teacher written recommendation
3. Personal interview conducted by Farmers RECC
4. Write a brief essay (400 words or less) on "How can Farmers RECC members work together to increase energy conservation and find innovative, affordable solutions that meet America’s energy needs?"

Application and required materials must be returned to your local Farmers RECC or High School Guidance Counselor's office or postmarked by Friday, March 16, 2012. Mail to:

Non-Traditional Scholarship Application

Scholarships are awarded to students who are enrolled in the 2012 Fall term at an accredited College or Vocational School and must be over 30 years of age. They are one-time, non-renewable grants and are paid directly to the student’s chosen university, college or trade school.

Recipients will be chosen by May 1. Winners also will be recognized at Farmers RECC’s annual meeting in July.

Eligible applicants are over 30 years of age and are enrolled in the Fall 2012 Term at an accredited College or Vocational school. with plans to attend an accredited college, university or trade school and whose family is served by Farmers RECC. Members of the immediate families of employees and directors are ineligible to apply.
2. Eligible applicants have a GPA of at least 3.0.
3. Applications must be submitted with all attachments and postmarked by Friday, March 16, 2012. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

3. All sources of Financial Support (parent/guardian, spouse, grants, scholarships, gifts, etc.)
