The Kentucky Rural Electric Frankfort Youth Tour

The Kentucky Rural Electric Frankfort Youth Tour is a precursor to the Washington Youth Tour.

During this one-day trip to Kentucky’s capital city, participants will have the opportunity to tour the Governor’s Mansion and the Capitol and to meet with many of Kentucky’s leading elected and appointed leaders. This activity is usually held in April on a date that does not conflict with spring break or statewide CATS testing.

Frankfort Youth Tour Itinerary TBA Meet local electric co-op staff for travel to Frankfort 8:00 a.m. Arrive at Governor’s Mansion 8:30 a.m. Tour Governor’s Mansion 9:15 a.m. Tour Kentucky State Capitol 10:15 a.m. Assemble in the Capitol Rotunda for group photo 10:30 a.m. Take group photo in Capitol Rotunda with Governor Beshear 10:45 a.m. Depart for Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial 11:00 a.m. Tour Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial 11:45 a.m. Depart for the Kentucky History Center 12:00 p.m. Lunch at the Kentucky History Center 1:00 p.m. Meet with a variety of elected and appointed state officials 2:45 p.m. Tour Kentucky History Center (optional)
